phenolic ferrule ,,,,HELP

ive just got a new jump cue with a phenolic ferrule,,,,,,,,,what do you recomend me to do in order for the tip to hold enough chalk to be useable?
 
Phenolic tip

I find using a tip pik work good on the phenolic tips. I also take a little off my break to gain more cue ball control. Hannphie
