Thanks for the update. Question for all the snooker fanatics out there. How does the Thai team compare to any of the British or European powerhouses?

And also...

Doesn't this add more fuel to the fire to the whole pool vs. snooker debate? Aren't all the people on team Philippines true pool players? What does it say when a couple of pool players beat the best snooker players of Southeast Asia in their own game? :D

UK is considered the best in the world. But certain aspects of in tour schedules make players from other countries unable to compete in world championships. Almost all rated tours are being held in the UK, before joining the tour you need to qualify in prelim events. And coming to the UK to qualify means more money needed for the players. So most Asian and others just ignore the qualifications. I saw Marco Fu of Hong Kong and Ding of China compete once. But mostly from Europe and Australia. If world championship will be held outside the UK, say Asia or America, with 128 players entered, then we will see who is the best. But be warned, snooker is boring. Almost the same layout all the time. The table is huge, but they only play half the table, where reds are.
