Pierce cues

I have a cue that I was told it was a Pierce cue. It looks like a cross between an old Joss and an old Schon. Black collar SS piloted joint with silver ring but stitched pattern on the butt. Black/white speck linen wrap and it is a natural finished heavily figured birds eye maple cue. I have also been told the maker is in the Cincinnatti Ohio area, but at the same time I have been told he was from out west and moved to Ohio? Does anyone have any ideas or info on this maker or his cues  . Thank you.

If you can post a pic of the cue I can tell you whether or not it's a Jim Pierce custom cue. The piloted steel joint doesn't sound like his work though. If it is, he is still in California. He makes cues out of his shop in Oakdale, and plays mostly in Modesto. Hope this helps.

He posts on this forum frequently under the handle of pdcue. He is from the Cincinnati area and still lives here although he has moved around a little in the past.

Thanks for the info. I will post a pic. today sometime. Maybe that will give you a better idea of what the cue might be.
Thanks again.
