I am most likely the person who owns more Piercy Exclusive Cues than any other private collector. I hooked up with Marshall Piercy early in his cue making career and have about 15 of his cues, including 2 prototypes of his latest design. Someone please correct me if I am wrong, but I haven't seen any other cue maker attempting the design that Marshall has come up with and perfected. Marshall and I had a falling out years ago but have made amends recently. I had him make me the cue I am picturing and he is currently making another cue for me, an all burlwood cue inlaid with a full snake curling around the cue with the head attached. Marshall had made me a cue like this before but it got broken in shipping and I always wanted another one. I, too, have started making cues, but am a neophyte and could never make the kind of cues Marshall makes, nor most other professional cue makers. I don't sell them but only make them for myself and family and friends.
I was going to post a few pictures of custom cases I make on this thread but I don't know how many pictures are allowed and I wanted to show Marshall's amazing cue that he made me, so I might start another thread and post a few pictures of some of my cases. I don't sell any anymore but mainly make them for myself, friends and family. I did sell over 100 cases some years back on eBay.
Anyway, the cue Marshall Made for me is an ALL BURLWOOD CUE with mostly buckeye burl and also rosewood burl. I'm a terrible photographer but hopefully the pictures will come out OK. When I get my "Snake" cue in a couple of months I will post some pictures of that, too. Thanks, and sorry this is so long but I can't help myself.
I am an avid pool cue collector and consider Marshall to be the most imaginative professional cue maker I've found. He has done some stuff for me that just boggles the imagination. At a Billiards Expo in Pennsylvania I showed some of Marshall's cues to the President of the American Cuemakers Association and he said that Marshall accomplishes what no other cue maker would even attempt. I have always found that to be true.
