I came across a very talented gentleman who was very proficient at jump shots.

Here is a video of him jumping back handed, just click "back hand jump".

I have tried and tried but just couldn't do it. I find this very amazing, don't you agree?:)

He is a European named is Johnnie (that's the Americanized pronunciation and spelling) he was in San Diego for a while last summer/fall. He is about 6'6" and a pretty straight shot.

Not too difficult, like belmicah said. Eric Yow's got a no-look version on his site. I've done it too.

The technique is to squeeze yourself into the cueball as much as possible so that you can have the same follow-through as when performing the shot regularly. You will need to follow through without hesitation. Practice without the object ball, just jump the blocking ball until you feel comfortable.

This would commonly be called a behind-the-back shot. A well known professional player once lost lunch to me when I used this shot to make the seven ball and run out the rack for the set.

Yeah I remember him being around Hollywood Billiards and House of Billiards (on Ventura) a lot. He had a backer, but if I remember correctly our own MexPoolPlyr busted him some sets ($200/set?).
