Buffalo billiards on sixth street has a bunch of decent 8 ft brunswicks. If you're looking for atmosphere this would be a decent place as all of the bars are close by and they have plenty of tvs for football. Not much in the way of tourneys or real players there though.
Up in round rock skinny bob's has a Friday night 9 ball tourney, a Saturday 9 ball tourney, and a Sunday 10 ball tourney. 9 ft gold crowns there and a new non smoking side with 8 7ft diamonds. They may have some new tourneys on the diamonds but I haven't been there in a while. This is where the Texas state 9 ball and 10 ball tourneys are held and real good players play there.
Other than that you have a slick willies off burnet, a fast eddies in round rock and cedar park and a clicks billiards down south. Most of those places primarily have 8 footers and okay players and atmosphere.
Long story short, for pool go to skinny bob's. For atmosphere and for your friends and just having fun go to buffalo billiards downtown.
