Places to play in upstate New York?

Hey all, just looking for some input on a nice poolhall to play at near Rochester. I will be there on travel from tonight untill Tuesday. Also, if any of you know of any good local tournaments this weekend or just want to come out and play some that would be great.

I should add that I'm about a B player....

That's an easy one. In Rochester their is only ONE room. Classic Billiards at 3400 West Ridge Road in Greece, NY. There is a bar box room on the East side. Tables are OK at best but the foods great and the beer really cold! Classic has the best equipment though.

If you are nearer to Buffalo, Bison Billiards on Main Street and Classic Cue on Transit Road are really nice places. If you're nearer Syracuse, Salt City on Route 11 and Cap's Cue Club on Teal Ave are the places to go.

Tonight, Classic in Rochester has a handicapped bar box event. Saturday, Bison in Buffalo has a $1000 added nine ball tournament on 9' Diamond Smarts. Nothing else I'm aware of. Incidentally, your avatar looks like Super Billiards Expo.

There's a couple of places here...

Six Pockets has a full menu (it's a bar & grill, but the tables are in a completely seperate room)...

If you're looking for straight up pool however, then...

Thanks for the quick responses! I gotta hit the road ( 8 hour drive ) but I will check back when I get into NY. Hopefully can make the tournament tonight.

And yes that was me at last years sbe....I got smoked but was lucky enough to send 2 home before me!;)

If you are willing to travel out to the Buffalo area, we are about 3 miles from the I90 Transit Road Depew exit. This Saturday, we are hosting a double elimination 9 Ball tournament, $1,000 guaranteed added with a race to 7 on both sides.

We will be playing on 9' Diamond tables, Simonis cloth, Pro Cut pockets. We will also be raffling off tickets for a chance to win several Poison Cues.

Well, unfortunately I guessed wrong on travel time. I also have only 1 obligation while I'm here and it is Saturday so I missed both tournaments. Thanks for all the help, I will get out and play tommorow night at Classic, feel free to join me.
