Just placed an order at Atlas and was told that they now carry the plastic sleeves, 1 butt 2 shafts. They are 6x36 and made of 5mil poly. They also have scalpels, with replaceable blades, great for cutting leather wraps.
I will tell you something better then those kinds of bags. I buy poly tubing in a roll and use a heat sealer to make my own butt and shaft bags. I buy 1 1/2 inch and 3 inch. All I do is cut it to length and seal the end. after I put in the cue I heat seal the other end and that is it. For a shaft repair I use the 1 1/2 size, I put in the shaft along with a card that shows the customers name and seal it up with the invoice on the outside. For a butt and shaft I put the shaft in a 1 1/2 sleeve and use the 3 inch sleeve for the butt. I put the shaft already sealed up in with the butt and seal the bigger bag that holds everything. This make a great presentation for the customer, especially when you do work for a room. Their cue is returned to them sealed up and can't be tampered with. I buy the 6 mill size. Cost by the way is only a few cents per sleeve. I usually buy them from this placedunkelcustomcue said:Just placed an order at Atlas and was told that they now carry the plastic sleeves, 1 butt 2 shafts. They are 6x36 and made of 5mil poly. My heat sealer puts on a nice 5 millimeter medical quality waffel seal that can't open. The bags you buy are usually 1 millimeter or less and can split open letting the cue fall out. The ones you make yourself are much nicer then most of the crappy the one butt two shaft bags you buy.
