Hello ,
We'll , Since being in Quarantine mode for several months and thing are opening back up My Son and I played in A 9-Ball chip Tourny . It is the 1st one I have ever played in . They used Texas Express rules. No Foul 's and if you hit the wrong ball or scratch then your opponent get's ball in hand. You rack your own with Deuce in the back of the rack. You get rated from 1-10 then you get the amount of chips that you are rated at , like if you are a 7 you get 6 chips . You play each person a race to 2 , if you lose 2 to your opponent then you give the director a chip. You are out when you run out of chips. After coming out of retirement for the last 20 years and that being my 1st tourny I won 22 match's and finished in the top 22 out of 43 players. I still had 2 chips left but I got pretty tired as it had been several years and my Son got a bad draw playing the top player there twice and he was already out. So I pretty much gave the last 2 away. But i believe if it has been started earlier I could have made it to the top 5 , but who knows . I thought that was not to bad for being out for that long and just starting back . It was fun anyway. It cost me about $ 35 to enter , $ 25 for the Tournament and then you have to Buy yourself in the Calcutta and that was another $ 10. I also have to pay $ 10 for my practice time before the start . So all in all I was out $ 45 to play but what the heck. It was nice to get out and play some. The food is really high there also, If they would price it reasonable they could sell alot more. a plate of Nachos is like $ 12 bucks. I got a soft pretzel and it was $ 8.00 . That seemed high to me . Food is were you make your money . There was Prolay 50 people there and only a handful ate, This place is pretty new still . Also only 1 guy in the whole place had a mask on including the workers.
