It was an interesting experience, I played on a super tight GC4 with old simonis-it needed replaced. the balls were good aramith. I plated my friend 8 ball-he is a D player, one step up from a banger, but that was cool. My back was good-for a change. The wrap was a little slipery and the balance was a bit different than the Gus cue I play with, the first 15 minutes I was playing fair but the cue felt "different" to me unlike any Szam I played with, thats not a bad thing just a different thing.
Moving foward an hour into the session I caught a gear and started running out playing 8 ball negoiating traffic, holding the CB-on bad cloth that was slipery. I didnt get the feed back from the cue that I'm used too but the balls were falling in and I kept getting out not missing many makeable shots, my friend won 2 games in a little over 2 hours, I wanted to pitch a shut out.
Overall I played very good with the cue and am very very happy with the cue, I need to get used to the feel of it but considering how I played the first time out, I was suprised how good I played without having the "feel" of the cue down. I need to play by myself on a better table, there is no way I could have played as well as I did with any other "new to me" cue.
I couldnt be happier.
