Players you *don't like* to play against...

For $$, I'll put up with a lot. If you come in and just want to 'hit em around', then jerks need not apply. There are quite a few locals I won't play because it's not worth the effort, and they won't put up any $$. Then they don't understand why I won't play...sigh.

It's always fun to watch someone playing for nothing and arguing over the rules like it's a $1k set.

don't forget the table hoverers, these guys suck. even worse when you have the table next to you with like 6 guys all hovered around it at the same time and you cann't even approch your table. there should be mandatory edicate classes before being allowed to pick up a rack.

I hate the guys who beat me :) jk

Like others have said I can put up with alot, but not having simple pool etiquette.

I think the slow players are the one thing that really bugs the crap outa me. I've seen people take upto 1hr for a simple race to 5 match. Its like WTF is taking so long.

How about the guys that #*%&@ about other people in the room or their opponent's behavior?

I don't like to play against these players and will not play against them if I can help it...

-Players who only play by "bar rules" and do not know BCA rules.
Easy Cash...Why would you get mad about that?

-"Bangers" who shoot every shot as hard as possible.
Again...Easy cash

-Players who shark / cheat, or try to win with their "mouth"
Consider this "practicing your mental game." And if they cheat...call them out on it. Make them look completely foolish and they won't do much of it anymore.

-Players who are poor sports and will throw many "temper tantrums" for any little thing, throw their cues around, bang balls on table when racking because they are mad, etc.
I especially love these guys. You know exactly when they go on tilt.

-Players in bars who wander off and don't pay attention to their game.
Playing for money??? Put up with it!! Obviously they're just trying to give it away.

-The "cell phone" player. Always on their cell phone or playing with it.
Hey if he's on the phone, he's not paying attention to the game. I prefer he be on the phone.

-Players who are drunk or on drugs.
If they're THAT drunk...chances are I'm robbing them blind and they haven't figured it out yet. KEEP DRINKING.

-Players who feel the need to explain to me why they missed their last shot and do this while I am lining up to shoot my shot. (I already know why they missed their last shot, but this is not the "excuse" they are giving me...)
Are they physically preventing you from taking your shot?? Ignore it. Better yet...play safe after safe after safe to really get under their skin.

I had a prime example tonight.

Its my APA 8ball league, and I've played this guy many many many times over the past years in tournaments. And He thinks that he is GOD's gift to the pool world.

He shoots ok, at best maybe B- rating. Well first 2 games he wins, and I was playing awful. Well i win the next 2games, and he gets up 3-2. I win my 3rd game and goto break.

I wasnt breaking well, or getting a slug rack or maybe it was the table IDK. But i goto a 2nd ball break with my cue and make the 8ball.

So I'm on the hill. And he gives me one of the I dare you to try that again lines. SO I do it, and rattle the 8ball in the side pocket. Well I miss my last ball and give him BIH and break out a small cluster.

He's running out his balls and gets bad position on his last ball, and try's to leave me with a tough shot. But I play safe behind the 8ball.

And he then says, how I cant beat him unless I play some BS move like that, and how he should wipe the floor with me all the time and bla bla bla. Of course this isnt the first time he has gone on about this.

Anytime we've met up in a tournament he'll bytch if I am winning by playing safe or, cheesing the 9ball. But he'll do the same crap lol. And he is always going around ranting and raving about how good he is and this n that and throwing his big ego around. Yet, its always been in the lower level tournaments, which he still plays lol, to this day.

I havent played them for atleast 2yrs.

What also is funny, is, anytime someone comes over to shut his trap by, saying, well lets play some, He always asks for weight, or backs off, claiming they are way too good.

One of the top shooters, wanted to do a simple APA 9ball race,to thier SL points for 100$ and the kid goes and lie's about his skill level and claims he is just a SL3 when he was a SL5. The other guy, who's a SL9 starts to boast very loud that the kid, has to lie to win, and has no game and such, which needless to say, he shut up very quickly lol.

So this guys is the #1 guy I DONT LIKE to play against but love to beat lol, cuz he always bytches about how he shoulda, coulda, beat me 24-7
