Playing cue vs break cue

Hello all, maybe I am over thinking (under thinking) or just missing the obvious. Have played a couple racks on different occasions with my break cue and I consistently move the cue ball better with it than my playing cue also seems to draw better/easier.

My break cue is a BK rush with the stock tip, nickel radius and a lil over 18 oz.
My playing cue is a Mezz ec-7. Playing wx700 shafts, one has a medium samsara true tip and the other has a zan hybrid max (not a fan). Also have a Cuetec cynerygy 12.5 with an ultraskin black medium. The weight with the wx700 shafts is right around 18.5oz. All three are nickel radius.

is it the tip, the shaft or the mental side?

Ty

The CF shaft and its squirt (cueball deflection) characteristics are different, and they may make more subconscious sense to you and your game.
