About a month ago this thread was started about who was the best table mechanic in the southeast.

A number of individuals posted Mark Gregory as their choice. Someone that I know in the Atlanta area, Drivermaker, just had his table completely redone by Mark and stated to me that Mark was, without a doubt, THE BEST table mechanic that he has ever had working on his tables throughout the years or ever seen, period. He also stated that anyone living in the southeast should think of only one person to do their table if they want it done professionally and right...and that would be Mark.

Just thought this might be helpful for anyone looking to have any work done.

Having been lucky enough to have 4 different rooms that Mark has done all be what I woud consider to be my home rooms at one time or another, I think I can easily agree. Having also done a few dozen tables worth of mechanic work myself, I know I can agree.

I wish someone would send Mark Gregory over to Cues 2. Whoever did those tables didn't do that great of a job. I'm a table mechanic and one day I'm going to go in there with my equipment. Take the cap off and stretch that felt back myself.

I might even take the cap back with me and put some new bumpers on it. Since many of them are falling off.

One thing I have noticed about some pool halls. (More like bars with 4-5 tables) is they do them themselves. I did a place in North Atlanta one time that had the bumper cloth glued with superglue along with the bed cloth. When they could have easily stapled it.

We asked them who did it before and they said "A kid who use to work here said he knew how to work on them".

Personal experience

Mark did my brother's table installation. He did a great job. He was very thorough and professional. So I recommend him.

Mark???

There was a guy that did a huge amount of Diamond tables at one time named Mark. I can't remember his last name. In fact, I believe he was the, or one of the main table mechs. that Diamond had set up tournaments their tables were featured at.

Is this the same guy? Hope someone remembers. Thanks.
