pocket options for diamond pro table

I was wondering if anyone here has heard of any pocket options for a 4.5 X 9 diamond pro table. My issue with the pockets I have currently are twofold: first, on occasion when shooting a ball into a corner pocket at WARP speed, the ball will drill into the back of the pocket, fire downward, hit the leather pad at the bottom of the pocket and spring back onto the table. Admitedly, this is a rare occurance and has only happened about half a dozen times in the two years that I have owned the table. Secondly and more importantly, I play lots of onepocket and I would love to have deeper and/or wider pockets to handle more balls. Does anyone know if Diamond makes variations of pocket depth and specs? Also, a friend of mine who also owns a diamond told me that they had developed a prototype for a pocket that expands as the volume of balls in the pockets increase. Has anyone heard of such an option? Oh yeah, if it matters, the pockets are 4.5" wide.

This doesn't help with the volume question, but maybe a bean bag at the bottom of the pocket will keep balls from jumping out?

This is totally an idea out of thin air from someone who wishes they had your troubles. :D

I have never heard of balls jumping back out of the pockets on a Diamond. My table has never once done that in over two years. My pockets will hold 10 balls before you can't get another one in (if you have 9 in and fire the tenth, sometimes it will fly across the room).

I don't know that Diamond makes any other kind of pocket. If you go to www.diamondbilliardproducts.com there is a contact form. If you send them a message they are prompt to return a call. You can also call at 812-288-7665, but I believe they are on central time.

I second that.

I've had my diamond setup for 2 years, and never ever ever did i had a ball jump up back on the table. I even think its impossible. the base of the net is not tightly stretched and the leather can hardly bounce anything back. I have no idea how you did this. I have been playing on diamonds all my life, i swear by them, and never once did i have this problem... IMO diamond pockets are the best pockets ever, period.

The only option I'm aware of is for league-cut pockets, which are wider than the pro-cut (4.75" instead of 4.5").

You're not the only one who's had problems with balls bouncing out of pockets. (Both of these are on a Brunswick Metro table.)

At least now I know I'm not losing my mind. When something like that happens to me I always blame myself first thinking that maybe I rattled it a little and just didn't see it.

Now that I think of it this has never happened on my table which has pockets about a half inch tighter than the tables it does happen on. The only difference is that I have leather pockets.
