Points / Veneers: Customer being to picky?

That is really awesome. I'm sitting here looking at all the angles and how it comes together. I don't know exactly what i am looking at as a non cue builder. But I assume what i am seeing is red paper? outlining the white maple. it makes for a very eye pleasing effect creating a diamond at the point. If the light maple veneer was thinner would it look even nicer? but then it would mess with the angles of how the diamond looks at the top.
Also everyone try not to jump down my throat, I'm just spitballing. I think this work is amazing, and i could not do it.

Thank you for the kind words.

Yes, that is red paper. The paper was one of the biggest problems I had with this. The method I used to glue them up didn't harden them enough, so there is some smearing that I find acceptable as a house cue and for a prototype, but I wouldn't sell.

I had the 0.100" thick curly maple and I was going for the boldness that it would make in the cue. I'm split on whether thinner veneers would look better or not. Beauty and the beholder, I guess.

The way I built the points, the diamond on the top would be thinner based on the thickness of the veneers. The angles wouldn't be affected.

The other problem I had is that my cutter wasn't exactly centered on the cue--this wouldn't be noticeable on normal points, but the diamond is a tiny bit asymmetrical because of this.
