Pool Cue Automation i2RCNC Spindle + 4th Axis Rotary kit

Hello!

I'm using this thread as a way to fact find and see how CNC can help in the automation process for making pool cues as an alternative method. Any input would be greatly helpful. I'd also love to offer my knowledge if any one would like to learn more about CNC technology. Here's a video from our youtube channel showing the 4th axis cutting a mini basball bat. This is our smallest 2x4ft size, entry level machine.

I'm not very experienced but I'd like to help if I can. Cue builders probably will buy the 2x4 I2R 8. I'm still trying to get familiar with VCarve but again I'm a beginner. There is software called cue cut that is very popular but the folks I've asked about it have said either cue cut works on an I2R but requires significant modifications or they just suck it up and deal with the 4th axis speed and we are accustomed to constant spinning.

In my inexperience I research a ton. One question I have is if I run cue cut will it work with the control box hooked to my laptop with a "dongle" (usb stick with cue cut files)? I bought the 4th axis specifically to turn cue tapers and inlay work. I appreciate your time and have a great weekend
