I think it would be interesting if we could hold
raffles for Pool equipment, mostly brand new,
raffle it off, then have a subforum, where the
winner could do an objective in depth review of
the equipment, with an established rating system.
That way, people interested in a product could refer
to the subforum for the review and rating of the new
or interested equipment.
The raffles would not be unlimited entries. They would
only be up to the price + shipping that the item could
be bought for on the net.
Say a new cue, that sells for $200. Sell raffle tickets
for $10 each to the FIRST 20 people interested in it, then
raffle it off, have the winner get it, and then do the
review and rating of it. I know, I know, the mechanics
of collecting the money and paying for the item would
have to be worked out, but with Paypal, it would not
be too hard.
What do you think of this idea? I sure would put $10 in
for something I was interested in ... Would you?
It doesn't always have to be a cue or case, it could just
be accessory equipment too that maybe the raffle tickets
might be just a buck or so.
