Warning:This is not against gambling but it is aimed at some of the behaviors of some but not all gamblers.
In most of the pool halls you find money players playing on particular pool tables. In some pool halls the owners of the room has a policy NOT to rent some tables for the players who do not intend to play for money.I saw in one pool room where u can not rent that one particular table if u do not intend to play 9 ball and nothing but 9 ball.I DO NOT have problems with those policies. But the problem comes in pool halls where u do not have such policies of restricion.when you are practicing on a table that is usually prefered by action players,a money player comes and asks u to leave the table and go to another table or might ask u ``how long u are going to be here etc...``
Does he think that his game is more important than u?
Does he feel entitled for that table?
Does he feel that he has the right to confront u or give intimidating looks?
My ADVICE to the new and young:
Do not let these guys bully u and you do not give up the table unless u are ready to quit.use your style of interaction with them.If they threaten u and ask u to come out to the parking lot, immediately report about their threats towards u to the manager of pool room. The owner of the room will ban those guys coming back to his room.Be carefull and do not get physically hurt by these people.
IN MY CASE: I was always a night mare to these guys.I remind them of the guy their mama warned about.
ONE ANECDOTE:Around 20 years ago when RACK in Detroit was THE PLACEto play ,Mike Massey was playing $1000.00 on one particular table ,another player approaches this 6 feet 5 inches tall Mike and asked him to leave the table because he was going to play for higher stakes( $ 5000.00 a set) and as I was told Mike Masey vacated the table.
DO NOT LET THESE BULLIES GET AWAY WITH THEIR INTIMIDATION TACTICS.
