Pool in Miami?

I'm going to be in Miami for a week next week. Any decent pool halls in Miami? I don't care for the typical pool-hall chain, but I'll go to one if there is a weekly tournament where an outsider can play. I'm also interested in an old-school pool hall, but one where a woman can walk in alone and not worry about getting shot/mugged, etc.

It's really slim-pickings down here unfortunately... I drive a half an hour most days to go play in Fort Lauderdale, but there are a few bleak options in Miami.

Gatsby's (8575 SW 124th ave) - Not good for much of anything... there really aren't any real players there. Mostly "bangers" (I think that's the term I've heard on this site). Definitely no tournaments.

Peg's Pocket (15900 Southwest 92nd Avenue) - Really dirty and smokey, and again, very few "real" players. No tournaments here either.

Sharpshooters (7200 SW 117th Ave) - I have heard good things, and I know they have a Thursday night 9ball tournament. A good amount of players too. I haven't tried it out yet though.

Felt (1242 Washington Ave) - On South Beach... I've played there a few times. No tournaments, but some nice people and they always love a girl who knows what she's doing! It's a small room though... only about 8 tables.

I play mostly at Hollywood Billiards. (430 S State Road 7) I really like it there... They have a pretty good Tuesday night 9ball tournament... starts at 8:00. And they also love a girl who knows what she's doing. No worries about getting shot/mugged pretty much at any of these places:D

I play at Sharpshooters, our Thursday night tournament is handicapped and outsiders are welcome. We get a good group of strong players tournament night including a handfull from Hollywood.

I'd say Shooters and Hollywood are the two places you have to hit.

-Ricky (can't believe someone can play all those poolhalls and not come to Sharpshooters)
