The Skagit and Island County area's, which is located about two hours north of Seattle, has no pool halls locally, and really no place to hold larger tournaments except to conduct them in numerous bar's throughout the towns. During the winter months and rainy seasons (all year long, lol) its not too fun walking throughout town so not too many players participate.

With that being said, It doesnt mean I cant still promote the game. So, I have decided to promote the game by bringing pool tables into larger establishments such as American Legions, Elks Lodges, and other business's that have the space available in order to have larger tournaments.

So far it has created a buzz in the area like I havent seen in 22 years of living in this area. The previouse tournaments have gone over flawlessly for the players, and all the business's holding the events. It has proven to be a win win situation for all parties involved, the players have fun and the business's enjoy the customers.

With that being said, I just want to say "THANK YOU" to the sponsors that have decided to join the team for 2012.

Viking- Break Cue's
Valhalla- Break Cue's
Pechauer- Break Cue's
Tiger- Break Cue's

All the above sponsors were easy to deal with and a real pleasure to talk to. I was pleasantly surprised at the ease of communication between them and myself and the willingness to take the time to actually discuss other items than just sponsorship.

As far as why Break Cue's from those specific sponsors? At the tournaments I set up a seperate table for players to use the sponsor's Break Cue's and review them. The players in our area dont readily see these products so I am just trying to show them what there is out there in the pool world and where else could you use different manufactured Break Cues side by side and compare them to each other.

I do also want to say Thank You to all the AZ and its members that post on here. I have learned a lot of what the pool players feelings are on what works and doesnt work when it comes to tournaments, and the general expectations from a players viewpoint on how a tournament should be conducted.

Thank You
Andrew
