in snooker side spin is rarely used. in three cushion side spin is used a ton almost on every shot. in pool, it's used somewhat. in snooker you always use an open bridge. in 3-cushion you always use a closed bridge. once again in pool, it's right in the middle, you use both open and closed bridges. in snooker you use small balls, in 3-cushion large balls, in pool, you guessed it, medium sized balls. in snooker the shaft is as thin as a pencil, in billiards, as thick as a baseball bat, in pool, medium tapered shaft. in snooker the cloth is slow, in 3-cushion fast, in pool, in-between. what does this all mean? maybe it's a little more difficult, to master pool? because you have more variables? who knows? posting is free, so why not make you think.
