I just heard the announcers call Earl colorful. Maybe because this guy is nothing but a red-ass. He is definitely the Mike Tyson of pool. Washed up, a basket case who lets their own mental shortcomings short-change their once tremendous talent. Take a handful of Xanax, you douche-bag. You are the most recognizable name in the sport and you are a disgrace. Take a look over at poor Steve Mizerak who would give anything to play. You are an embarassment to your sport and your trailer park. I want a refund, Brady.

I am glad I found this post, because it pretty much sums things up. This is one of the most accurated descriptions I've ever read about a guy who consistantly disgraces the sport. Pool is in a downward spiral and it's characters like Earl who have their hands on the wheel. He certainly is in the same class as people who steal stake money from under a pool table. Both types of actions are typical of a sport that mainstream America views as a blue-collared, back-room game which is dominated by punks, thugs and criminals. And Earl in definitley a grown up punk who needs his A$$ kicked.
Do us all a favor Earl, and get that xanax prescription filled. I'd like to see this sport move forward and not into the ditch, which is where you're driving it.

I understand your frustrations. Every sport has several players who in some way or other show disrespect. I would not go so far as to say he is causing pools downward spiral. In fact pool is gaining some momentum.

If they show the match on ESPN, I can assure you they will not show what we saw, and thank God for that. If you really want to know what hurts pool, it is the lack of billiard room play. Pool has been reduced to a bar game. Yes I know it can be lots of fun but with pool halls struggbling and many closing who is suporting it at a local level? This is where the focus should be, improve the billiard economy.
