I'm traveling to Spartanburg, SC this weekend. I've read that Stevie Moore is from there. Where does he play? Are there any "can't miss" pool-related activities in this area?

Thanks,
Yukon Ed

If you have the time and gas mapquest Breakers in Rock Hill and ride over to the Great Southern Billiard tour stop. I can't tell you how far the drive is but it will take at least an hour take I 85 to I 77 south to Dave Lyle Blvd. in Rock Hill SC, all of us will be there. LOL--Leonard

Hate to say it Ed, but there's not too much pool related in Spartanburg except a few very good players. Stevie practices at Red's Grill over around Fairforest, and the only other rooms are Rascal's on Asheville Hwy and G-Jays in Inman. Greenville is about 30 miles away. The Palace there would be a good choice.

Leonard is right. Rock Hill for Shannon's tournament is your best bet.

I live there. Stevie was from here originally, but now lives in Atlanta, Georgia, to my knowledge. At least he did last time I talked to him sometime last year. His mom is here and he visits frequently and may hit Red's Grill when he's in town, as Mike Templeton says. There was an 8 table room downtown, but it closed a while back and you ain't missing anything. Most play in this area is in bar type places, which I personally seldom go. Rascals isn't bad, I guess. I haven't been there in a couple of years, at least. Brian White is there sometimes. Last I knew, they had one 9 footer with brown cloth with a logo on it and six or eight Valley bar talbles.

Seminole in Atlanta

If you want to see some good 10 ball action the Seminole tour is in Atlanta this weekend at Mr. Cues II. It starts Friday night and continues thru Sunday. There is a post on here about it in the main forum.

How about cuemakers in this area

Thanks everyone for the speedy replies. How about cuemakers? Are there any in the Spartanburg area?

No cue makers that I know of except Mike Gulyassy over in Greenville. He has his shop at his house, and he's there most all the time.

Hey Gary. Stevie moved back to Spartanburg about 6 months ago, and practices at Red's most of the time.
