I have some friends that are taking a cruise to Alaska and are spending a few days in Seattle before they leave. Any recommendations on rooms in the area? They are staying near downtown / space needle. Prefer rooms that are nice but maybe some action and players as well. Thanks

Good job, Alex!! :) Too bad Breaking Point hasn't re-opened yet; but if they are coming around mid-August it might be - new name will be Phat Rack Billiards in Lynnwood (5800 198th St SW), just a little farther north than Dr. Cue.

There is also Harvey's in Renton, also about 20 minutes from Seattle (4100 E Valley Hwy, 425-251-9851). I know there's been action there in the past but don't know about lately (as mentioned in an earlier thread, I don't get out much!!). :p

If they want to travel a little farther north, say Mount Vernon, stop by Riverside Billiards and Blues. You never know who you might run into there. Several of the top Seattle players have stopped by from time to time and found some pretty good one hole action.

Kerry, I talked with Dave Jones this past weekend and I am only days away from getting my new cue. Will post pictures.

Ahh the 211. Bought my first cue there, a green Mali at the ripe age of 14. ....let me purchase the cue but then I had to leave because I was a minor.

The place I would suggest would be The Garage. Close to Downtown (Capitol Hill=5 minute cab ride) ...plenty of 9 footers and a good atmosphere.

They also have some really cool bowling lanes in a new section downstairs.
Give it a shot!
