It's All Good!

I guess I will begin this thread. There might be a few others who are on here that will post about it as well. I took the Advanced 3 day Pool School with Randy G. & Scott Lee. Only one word is close to describing this weekend:

"UNBEFREAKINLEAVABLE"!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I had heard about it from several people on the forum but until you experience it first hand, it does not do the class justice.

What you learn about:
- Your stroke; every section of it!
- Your Fundmentals
- Your mental game
- Speed Control

I could go on and on.

Over 3 days, I noticed my game picked up and my understanding of the information and what I need to do to take my game to another level. There were some things that I did not pick up right away, after a little deeper explanation from either Randy or Scott, made it perfectly clear and after a little practice I was able to complete the task.

There was every level of pool player in the class. We had from an APA 2 to an experienced, hardened road player in the class. I will not say who it is, but he told me that he has been playing one way for 21 years and thought his game was fine the way it was. He is learning a new and better way to play and he was shocked with what he took away from the class.

For anyone out there, that is DEDICATED to IMPROVING their game and wants to do it the right way, TAKE THIS CLASS!!!!!!!!!!! I don't care if it takes you a while to save up the DO RE MI for the class, start saving your pennies! It was worth it if I was only there for one day, but the other 2 days was the icing on the cake. It brought many things into perspective and reinforced a few others.

I will be the first to admit, I have not been dedicated to doing practice drills in the past, but out of respect for my new knowledge, my teachers and friends (Randy & Scott) and my renewed love for improving ones game, I am set to get down to business.

I want to send a special thanks to Randy G and Scott Lee for a wonderful and educational weekend. You giys are the best and I can't wait for the next class. I AM THERE!!!!!!

Also, a BIG THANK YOU to Diamond Billiards in Midlothian VA. The nicest poolroom in the area with an accomodating staff and owner made for a great all around weekend.

I think it can be summed up like this:

Pool School + Diamond Billiards = A Learning Experience Unlike Anything You Could Hope To Imagine!

Gotta go do my Mother Drills and go HOME! ;o)

Randy, Scott; DVD's are in the mail.

I want a review!

Take care & safe travels!

You are so right! Until you have been through the class, you don't even know what you have been missing out on. We will be hosting the same class in Charlotte, NC in September, for anyone in the area who is interested in taking their game up a level or two.

Mother Drills ROCK!!!!!

If you'll get close to the DC area again, I'd like to give it a try. What are the rates? Is there more details on the format.

Thanks.

You are in luck!

Skippy:

I believe they the school will be in Annandale, VA this weekend for a school.

If you PM Randy G. on the forum, he can give you more details.

Hope this helps!

You won't be disappointed!!!!!

Rates are $625 for a 3 Day class, 8 hours a day (more like 9 though!). Doing the math, it close to $20 an hour. You can't get this kind of info anywhere else for the $$$$$.

If you go to the website, www.poolschool.com and look at the advanced class level, you will see what was covered and that was just the broad strokes.

Take the class! You will not regret it!

School is in Fairfax (centreville va) this coming weekend. O'toole's is the location. Class is Fri, Sat, Sun. Advanced class Mon and Tues. I will be there. Looking forward to seeing everyone.

For those who will be in the classes, be on the lookout for my man Rufus. You can't miss him. Look for the tall gentleman with a beautiful Justis case with as Jim Buss and a Richard Black in the bag. Beautiful work all around. Rufus was down in Richmond to work on his instructor certification and moved a step closer to his goal. His lovely bride was along for a refresher on the course she had taken in Dallas in Feb. Through some tough drills, that would dishearten anyone, she persevered and overcame them. Also, to you folks who are taking either class this weekend in Fairfax, ask Randy at the end of the class about his refresher policy on a class.

Have fun this weekend coming up and make sure you show up to class with:

1) Comfortable shoes
2) An empty head - By the time you leave, it will be overflowing!
