Pool table in a Garage in Miami

I'm trying to get a 9' Diamond table in my home in Miami, and it's incredibly hard to find a place with a living/family room area large enough to accommodate this 9 footer (14x18 or 15x20 preferably). The only houses I can try to rent out with rooms this big are REALLY expensive homes with several bedrooms. Since it's just me and my fiancee, I don't want more than 2-3 bedrooms, so the other thought is to find a normal size home that isn't unnecessarily big and expensive, and just make sure it has a two car garage that I can put the table in. This opens up the house search a lot (now townhouses and stuff are suitable home options). Problem is with this humidity and heat how do I make the garage "work" with the Diamond table considering I'm looking to rent and can't make many modifications.

I've read some people have put in ACs in garage windows (most don't have windows however). I've read about people putting in new walls and roofing insulation, etc. That's also not gonna be possible since I'm renting. Dehumidifiers running nonstop have reportedly cost some 400+ a month in electric bills (don't know if this is true).

So does anyone in Miami or another hot/humid climate have a table in the garage and what did you do to make it hospitable? Is this an unreal expectation to put this thing in the garage? I don't want it to warp or play slow like mud.

I'd be VERY VERY appreciative if some of you guys could help me out. I'm due to move out soon and need to have a place by mid November so the clock is ticking....

[I posted this in the mechanic section but with time pressure and needing to find a place to live soon, I'm hoping it's seen more in this section--sorry about that]

A Dehumidifier will cost around 30 to $40 a month to run 24/7 so that is not really an issue. You can get an air conditioner like this.

They are great, I even use them in my rentals.

I should add, be honest with the owner and they may approve some steps you can take that they will also benefit from. One simple and cheap one is, if the garage is an extended one with a flat tar & gravel roof, you can get a white roof paint that will reflect the heat of the day.
