Have the itch for new lighting for a 9' table. Don't particularly like what is available "off the shelf" with a 26" width. I see shadows in certain locations with these.
So I'm thinking of going with a 48" wide light with enough bulbs so when I raise the light sufficiently high for head clearance I still get plenty of light where I want it.
Input needed: tell me what you know about light louvers. There are plastic and aluminum louvers in all kinds of depths, with and without a shinier surface applied, egg-crate, parabolic, etc.
What are the advantages and disadvantages for pool table use of the various types of louvers? Your valuable advice please.
I'm going to have a wood-working friend build a nice frame and mount the lights and louvers. I'd wager in advance this will be a killer light - in appearance, function, and cost. And I'll post CAD solid model JPEGs showing the plan once I have one.
So lay some louver knowledge on me.
