Pool table plays slow

I have an 88x44 Beach 3 piece slate table with new 760 Simonis cloth. It plays OK but does not draw well. At first I blamed this on the cloth being too loose. We just re-stretched it and it is very tight but the cue ball still draws poorly. When I say poorly, I mean: We play a state tournament on Diamond Tables with Simonis 760 cloth and the cue ball draws at least twice as far. We get in trouble because everything is hyper active. Stun becomes draw and draw becomes way over draw. On my table I can draw 7-9 diamonds. On the ones at state the same shot goes 14-16 diamonds.

It seems like slate is slate and the cloth is the same and both are stretched tight so that leaves the balls. We both have 3 red dot Aramith, mine are the Pro model, if there is some other kind of 3 red dot I don't know. Theirs seem lighter and have a translucent look. My cue ball weighs 5.8 oz. The balls in my set weigh 5.8 oz. The original ball that came with the set weighs 5.6 oz and does draw more (I just discovered by testing). Is it likely the table we are playing on at State is so much more active because they use a lighter cue ball? Is there a correct weight? I thought the 3 red dot Aramith Pro was the best and most universal standard cue ball so that is why I bought it.

The local bar tables are also very fast and draw like crazy. They also seem to have a lighter cue ball. If that is the difference I will buy a lighter cue ball so I can stay more in stroke with the tables I compete on.

Your advice is appreciated,
Thanks,

Diamond Cyclops Cue Ball

Since the tables we play on at state are all Diamond tables, I am wondering if a set of Diamond Cyclop balls and a Diamond Cyclop cue ball could make the difference?
