Here's a little update on this repair. The owner received the cue and felt that the pink wrap does not match the pink in the veneers. No questions asked, I had her send it back, I'll restain the wrap, and ship it back. All for no charge. I will post pics of the "new" wrap when I get it done.

I have one question... How in the world did you keep from coming apart when the cue came apart. Even with an audiance that to me shows super human restraint. Not even a "Darn" or a "shoot!" or a "dog gone"...it is just more than I can comprehend. :wink:

Well, I think shock had a little to do with it but most importantly, experience. Although this is the first cue that came apart while I was working on it, it is not the first time I have seen a cue in this condition. I knew within seconds it could be fixed. My biggest concern was that I stayed calm, therefore keeping everyone else calm. After the dust settled, I was working on my approach to the owner. I knew she wouldn't be happy.
 
Well, after about 10 times of trying stains, sanding it back, and trying again, I think I matched the color. Its hard to show in the pics but it is pretty close to the veneers. I had the girls that work at Muellers give me the ok to ship it. ;)
