Is the Willard worth 5 times the price? Just want to check before investing in one or the other.

Yes relative to each other, but it is questionable if either is worth what they cost. But since I have a complusion to buy every gadget that comes out , I've had both.
I wouldn't get the Willard if all you're doing is trimming tips.

Just to be sure, not just trimming tips as in mushrooms, but replacing tips and looking for ferrule prep and not cutting into the ferrule when trimming to size. If the Porper suits this well, it will save a bunch I can put toward experimenting with tips

Be careful

Be careful as always. The Porper, if not adjusted properly, will damage the ferrule when trimming the tip.

I like mine and would recommend getting one, but just be sure to adjust the depth properly, then double check it just to be sure.

the porper doesnt really help u put a tip on. so if thats what u're gonna do then u're going to need something else too cuz all the porper big shaver does is trim, shape and burnish.

I've owned both and if your going to replace your own tips get the Willard.

keep an eye out on ebay. They pop up here and there.
