I recently purchased a new cue lathe and I want to be able to take it out to venues to do cue tips. I'm thinking that I will built a stand for it and would like to see how some of you guys have yours set up.

I need mine to be light enough that I can put it in my SUV. I do have one of those racks that go into my SUV hitch for hauling stuff. (In case i couldn't fit it in the SUV.) Things that I'm thinking about are... casters, a hold down system, etc.

If you guys could show me some pics of your setups that would be great. Any tips or ideas would be much appreciated.

Thanks,
Chris

Lathe Stand

Go to Sam's Club and get one of their large metal stands for $99.00 and it has everything you need. Make you a cover for the front to hide your things. you can hang a light also.
hope this helps, thanks gary

Great Idea.

I have always thought about getting one of those rolling fold up saw tables that Home Depot or Lowes carries.

I wondered about that cueman. The mitre stand from Lowes has 2 wheels, but I didn't know how stable it would be.

Get the one with the wheels on one end that has legs that fold out like a saw horse. It is pretty stable. I think Home Depot carries it, but it might be Lowes.
