possible ebay scam Phillippi

An expensive break cue, lol. He only wants a $1000 for a $ 3500 cue. O.K.

maybe the weight includes his brain.
A pea brain don't weigh that much. I have quite a few times run into people that thought a heavier cue cost more;)

I don't think this is a scam - just an inexperienced seller. I contacted him because he is from a town in Louisiana that is very near where my parents grew up - the folks in that area are generally very honest and he probably just needs the cash. He also told me where the local pool halls are and asked me to give him a call if I was interested.

Hey Runscott, how about this. You tell him to send me pics or send you pics and I will buy the cue if this is a 3K cue. And I will give you 100 dollars to broker this deal :)

What do you say.

Serious buyer,
John

Who only needs $1000, not $3500 (a crackhead maybe) Ahhh thats it. There is 5-9 oz of crack for weight in the butt.

I sent them a note and asked for pictures and the seller was polite enough to respond asking for my full email address and gave me their phone number to talk and ask questions....waiting for pictures.............mike

I talked to him for a while - very decent guy.

I live in Louisiana, but Sterlington is about 4 hours away. I don't doubt the auction just because "0" feedback and a real deal. Look at Tate's Szamboti purchase early this year for $2500, if I recall correctly. This may be a divorce cue. Besides everyone here knows that the market is down, and a $3500 Phillippi might only bring $1500 or so anyway. Just look at Casey's. He has one that sold new for well over $5000, but he can't get $3500 for it now.

Weird - I can't see any picture, also, two other people supposedly emailed me pics and I can't see them either....did this cue belong to 'the emperor'?

Phillippi picture

This seller sent me the picture of the cue. Here is what the cue looks like.
