i don't know if this is what is happening but here is a quick story.
My poolhall has 10 or so gold crowns... table 1 was always the 'tough' table.... i never knew why... one day i was playing a match on it and whenever i hit draw into the side-it would pop out. Walk to table 2, same shot-didn't happen.... A seasoned veteran freind and i started talking about it and he showed me why.... it was the way the cloth, bumpers, pockets or whatever were put on. If you looked from the back of the pocket there was a weird 'bevel' at the edge of the cloth where the table end and the hole begins...so that when the ball hit the back of the pocket, the object ball would come forward 'launch' back out of the pocket -the bevel acted as a ramp-some times opretty high if you were using hard draw.... table 2 didn't have this extreme 'ramp'
like i said-dunno if this is what it is-are you playing the same table as you always do? was it refelted or something?
I would have never known and kept cursing table 1 as the devil table... now i just don't try hard draw in the side.... no more issues and i keep my secret from my opponents <G>
