I figured there would be some moron that would make an off color comment.

If you traveled to the event, paid for a room, food, drink, entry etc and were lucky enough to win...take the taxes off the top then what would be left? Yes of course 25k sounds attractive. You would have to win a lot of 25K tournaments to make a decent living. I venture to guess that advertiser here makes more off of the fees you would pay to watch this event on your devices than the actual player makes when he wins. So there was a point to my comment.

The point is the players are not getting paid enough. And until that happens the sport will always be a bastard child.

So no, 25K means very little in the grand scheme of things. 90% of those players will take a loss one way or another and the 10% will barely slide by.

And this coming from the guy who initiated off-color comments in this thread. You were griping about the money added without, quite obviously, realizing it was a calcutta tournament. I'm sure poor old Skyler spent tens of thousands of dollars by flying first class from Kentucky, staying in the top suite at the Shreveport Ritz Carlton through the weekend, and eating filet mignon all day long. Get over it man, first place gets a fat paycheck no matter how you slice it. To the vast majority of the guys playing in this event, they're just having a blast playing. You're barking up the wrong tree in this thread.

Coming up next The Hotseat Match

Winner here moves into the finals and has to be beaten twice

If I did put in an off color comment it certainly wasn't directed at you. It's not a fat pay check.

Playing to have fun is great. Just don't try and make a living at it and certainly don't tell me how much money it is because it isn't. Please let the pros know how much they make. I am sure they would love to hear you explain this.
