I have eight boxes of pre-1977 cue tips (50 per box unless stated otherwise):
Following are 7 tips that came in one of the 11mm ElkMaster boxes:
One box has a Master Chalk coupon offer that expired in March,1977, so they're at least mid-1970s. Some boxes have a paper Master Chalk ad and/or a Tweeten's Cement ad. Two boxes are taped shut. Most boxes have $20.00 handwritten on them, the Triangle has $57.00 handwritten on the bottom. I have no idea as to hardness of any of them. The individual tips look fine to me, but they are old and I have no idea what conditions they were stored in, so I guess it's a gamble.
The Elk Master boxes are a little different from the ones I see on ebay in that they do not have the 'Master Chalk' sticker and do not say 'made in USA' at the bottom front.
I will update the listing with photos tonight, but I wanted to get the listing up in order to get some feedback from collectors who might know something about these so that I can price them fairly. Meanwhile I will listen to offers, but prefer not to break up the six boxes of ElkMaster that are complete.
