Pre-tournament Action in Monroe, LA

Just a few minutes ago, Gary Abood, from Shreveport, LA got paid off/up in $5 bills after winning a race to 9 for a $1000, giving Joey Barnes of Dallas the 8 Ball on the big table.

Two weeks ago, Gary came up 5 set loser against Joey at this same game.

As you read this, Gary is up dead even in an 8 ahead set with Scotty on the bar table.

A month ago, Gary gave up two sets at this same game with Scotty.

Just got a call from Jonathan Hennessy...and gave him directions to the Arena.

Gary A. wins 1 set just before midnight against Scotty T...paid off in Hundreds.

Sure Joey...a cordial bet for a cordial game.

As luck would have it, The Arena doesn't have a big table but we can play at my shop. I think you'll like my '53 Brunswick Sport King 4.5x9 - it's a frame-off restoration for one socket guys like us...single shimmed 3 5/8" pockets, fresh Brunswick Super Speed rails, Simonis 760. Fast and tight - remind you of anything else that you really like?

Hope to see some of you guys from N.O. this weekend.

Registration ends at 7pm at the start of the calcutta. You can call ahead and register with a credit card - (318) 387-1333. I'll be happy to vouch for you.

To get paid Calcutta prize money requires positive identification...if someone signs up for the tournament/calcutta under a false name, they can be disqualified from the calcutta payout. Now I hope someone tries to steal the money by ducking in under a pseudonym.
