Has anyone shot with this cue? What did you think of it?I currently own a predator & was wondering if there was a big difference.

I shot with the Predator 2, albeit briefly and thought it was a solidly made Predator cue. I've been shooting with Predator for years and have always liked their products. Is there a big difference? Well, it's still a cue and the majority of my misses I can still attribute to my own short-comings. I do like the hit and, if all Predator 2s didn't look the same, would be more inclined to get one. However, I still think the shaft is the essential piece of Predator's feel. To put it honestly, I'm not convinced it makes a huge difference but that still wouldn't dissuade me from getting one. Eventually, I see myself owning one simply because I can't lose. If there is no difference, it'll be to my liking. If there is, I'll probably like it more.

We tried this out at VF. Even my husband, who does not shoot with a pred, thought the hit was great. It has the same 314 shaft with some new technology in the butt and joint.

I really liked it but do feel it is pricey. It seems right now to be a matter of 'supply vs demand' and there is currently a 2 mo waiting list. I will probably get one in a year or two when the hype wears off a bit and the price drops.

One kool thing about the pred2 is that the balance point can be chosen between 17,18 and 19 from the butt.

In the meantime, I love my pred sneaky pete. I have other cues, but I like the sneaky pete the best. It suits me fine.

When the balls dont sink, it is me, not the cue.

the predator 2 has a really nice feel to it. i shoot with one. however, i don't recommend trading in a predator cue for a predator 2. there's not that much of a difference.

Thanks that was what I was wanting to know, since I already play with a predator SPJW,would there be a big difference or not.I knew there butts were made by Falcon & wasnt sure if the predator 2's was or not.

Is this supposed to be "there were butts", or "their butts were"? Basically, I just wanted to know what you meant.

Falcon makes Predator's butts? I didn't know that, I feel gypped :P

Thats why I wanted to know about the predator 2. Before it,it has always just been about the shafts

The Predator 2 is the only cue by Predator that is made solely by Predator. As stated before, all OTHER models are Falcon-made butts. Although it's rare, you can occasionally find a Falcon cue that has an identical style to a Predator model. You shouldn't feel gyped. If anything, this little bit of information should open some doors for you. Falcon has a wide variety of designs, as opposed to the limited collection Predator carries. You can easily pick-out a Falcon from dozens of designs and simply order the Predator shaft separately and be assured that your cue will feel exactly like any model in the Predator series (with the sole exception being the Predator 2).

I know that most people might be quick to point out that you can do that with any cue but that's simply not the case. Predator shafts don't match up well with Meucci cues. At the joint, the Meucci butt is a little more narrow then the standard Predator shaft and leaves a noticeable difference. I don't even know if this could be corrected without spending a considerable sum. At least with Falcon, you KNOW it's gonna fit right.
