Predator 314-2 Fitting Question

I recently bought a 5/16 x 18 Predator shaft to fit my Players HXT30 cue butt as an upgrade. The joints are matched, bought and fitted in a pro shop and I have no problems playing with it thereafter, but upon closer inspection at home (sighting the assembled stick down) i noticed the shaft isn't perfectly flushed at the joints when i roll the stick.(Ran my finger down the joint area and the predator collar was just a tad smaller than the Players cue butt joint) I took them apart for inidividual sighting but i find no signs of warpage on either the cue butt or the predator shaft.

I would like to know if it is normal for the predator shaft to be not perfectly flushed with a cue butt that is outside of their brand or do I have to change my cue butt completely to fit with the shaft perfectly? Would it affect gameplay?

I appreciate everyone's help

That's pretty common. I have about 9 shafts right now for my Schon cues - 3 original Schons, 314-2, OB2, OB Classic, Mezz, and a few others. Some fit more closely than others, but every cue maker has a certain taper, width, etc. for their butts, and the same for the shaft makers, but not necessarily the same one. As long as it's very close, and ideally centered, it shouldn't matter.
