Predator Air 2....any benefits to upgrading to a CF Shaft?

I recently got an Air 2 which is great, does the job I want it to (when I don't suck) but was wondering if there would be any benefit to getting a CF shaft (doesn't have to be a REVO). Has anyone made a switch to a CF shaft, but using the same butt?

I found a benefit to going to a Propel. Never thought about a different shaft for my Air 2. I am not the greatest jumper and the air 2 works etc…. The Predator jump cue is more, but the Propel will probably cost about the same as a different CF shaft for your cue. And it is an upgrade

The Predator jump cue is insanely expensive. I am wondering if it would be worth experimenting with a cheap carbon shaft like a Rhino with a phenolic tip to see if I can replicate the results of getting a higher end REVO shaft or something

To be honest, if you have good fundamentals, your Air 2 will be just fine. Now if you want to try carbon, then by all means go for it. But I have worked with people on jump shots that couldn't jump with an Air Rush to save their life. However, I have taught people to jump that have $100 jump cues and now they consistently get over the ball.

Was playing with an Adam Tengu which was great until the handle joint had an issue. I borrowed an Air Rush from a friend, which I then bought of him for around half the retail cost.
Both did the trick. It's more of a you issue in my opinion. If you can jump, and jump well, it doesn't matter all that much. I enjoy the additional length of the Air Rush more than I notice the fact it's carbon.

To me, no. At least if you are happy enough with the air 2. I was happy enough with it. Until I got to test a Propel. Then I wasn’t happy enough with it. I could be wrong, but I don’t think an aftermarket shaft for the air 2 would do it for me. But to be fair I haven’t tried it.
