The reason i said Cyclop is that their cues are made in China as are Cyclop balls. I guess we'll know soon enough. I still do NOT like the t.v. colors or even worse those skittle balls.it was posted in the john schmidt thread - i think he was using the predator balls for a period? the poster showed two other sets in basically the same packaging and all looked like from the same supplier.
Thanks for the info. I really like the look of the Olhausen's with the "real" poolball colors. Just not a fan of the tv colors. The Predator balls are prototypes at this point and have not been released for sale as of 3/29/19 per Predator. The prototypes (John's set included) are manufactured by Cosmos out of South Korea. I own a set of the Predator Arcos Prototypes as well as two other sets made by Cosmos: Olhausen Signatures and Cosmos Diamond Ultra C's. Pics of all three sets listed below.

...They play well but for some reason all the Cosmos sets break goofy.
I think it’s your break
Mine spread beautifully

If theses balls were made of carbon fiber and have low deflection technology, I'm certain they would have a ready buyer from a market influenced segment of the population.
Or by those who are wanting the best available equipment and aren't stuck in the past......
Same here. WTF?? I smell a 3-way ball test coming: Aramith vs. Cyclop vs. Cosmos/Predator. I wonder how Dr.Dave will address break "goofiness"?Please explain "goofy".
Wanna share what you know about these balls?
In the same boat here. I want #'s on both sides not some goofy-ass logo. Aramith/Centennial for me please.I don't like them...
Too big numbers... are they aimed for people who can't see and don't know the colors?
I don't like the predator logo on the other side as well.... Are they balls or rolling advertisement? If they play good that would be the only ad they need. On the aramith tournaments there is no logo on the balls, but everyone knows them just by glancing at them what they are.

I would think a LARGE difference in formulation/elasticity would be required to make a difference like you mention. I've seen pretty weird break patterns with ANY ball set. Time for Dr.Dave to get to work on this.Apologies for the obscure comment regarding the spread of Cosmos balls on the break. When using a template rack, it is pretty much common knowledge how the balls should spread if struck properly; it’s very predictable. Cosmos balls don’t follow the same line off the break as Aramiths, Centennials and Cyclop. Case in point. I use a Slug Doctor Tight Rack System on my table and have for years. Playing 9B, when properly racked, the 9B should stay at or very near where it was placed in the rack after the balls are struck. My experience with my Cosmos set has been the balls spread much differently and the 9B consistently darts to either corner (depending what side you break from). The rack was tight; all balls appeared to be touching. At first I thought it may be the template causing this with an ever so slight gap somewhere. My buddy and I were in the middle of a race and I did not want to take the time to lay down a new template so we decided to switch to my Aramith Tournaments because we were tiring of the short games due to the 9B hanging near the corner pocket every game. The problem was resolved after changing the ball set. I had a similar experience playing 8B and 10B with the Cosmos. They just don’t spread the same as other balls. It’s a shame too because I really like the Olhausen Signatures. Maybe I’ll give ‘em another go.
