Predator BK weight change?

My step son wants to reduce the weight on his Predator BK. It does not have a weight screw. Looking into the butt it appears the weight was estblished by drilling what appears to be about a 3/8" hole. Have tried to contact Predator but they have not returned my emails. I was just wondering, is the weight reduced by increasing the depth of this hole? :confused:
