Predator break cue tip question

I don't know how to keep the tip on my Predator break cue. Should I rough it up like a regular tip or hit it with a tip pic to keep a texture on it or should it stay smooth like a phenolic tip? THANKS

Taking a scuffer to your break tip is fine, so is the tip pick. These will just aide the tip in holding chalk. The thing that makes the BK such a valuable tool is the acuracy, aided in part by not having a phenolic tip and aided in part by the delfection technology built in to all predator shafts.
