Use to hear Predator all the time, like their the Cues & Shafts and Shafts were the answer to being a Great Player.

Predator seem to just not be such a Hot Subject now a days.

Personally have played with a Predator, Cue & Shaft, and I do not recall what Shaft it WAS. but they do hit Stiff, but nothing i personally got all excited about.

See a lot of New Predators on e-bay in Cue for sale, but I think they are mostly dealers trying to use e-bay as a second store front. ;)

I don't like them, but I understand why others do. For me, I've learned to deal with deflection and sometimes even to use it, so the predators I've used seem to make me play worse. With time, I'd probably adjust, but why bother?

I did buy a Smart Shaft (regular deflection) in August, and I've been really happy with it. That said, the main reason I like it so much is that it's very stiff. I'd probably like any similarly stiff non-laminated shaft without the "piezoelectric vibration dampening" (or something like that) about as much.

Also note that Egg McDoggit's Smart Shaft ferrule mushroomed (yes, the ferrule, not the tip). While they're apparently replacing it, this is something to think about if you plan to break with it or like to smash a lot of balls at full speed.
