Predator LE-3

A few years ago I purchased a new LE-2 and it was immediately returned due to multiple defects. (POS)

In December of 2014 I took notice that Predator was releasing a two new models and decided to go out on a limb by placing an order for the ebony LE-3. The cue arrived Monday and although I haven't had time to hit any balls with it yet, I can tell you that it is 100% first quality and the balance is excellent. All points are almost perfectly even, the ebony is jet black, both radial shafts lock down tightly.

The wrap is a black embossed lizard leather that at first feels a bit clammy but after rubbing on it with a smooth piece of metal it will soften up.

I'm confident that this cue is exactly what I've been looking for and will post detailed photos with a more in depth review once I have time to put some hours on it this weekend.

I purchased the Roadline LE4 cocobolo and curly maple points as well. I use the z2 shaft and just put on a new Onyx tip. This cue hits amazing, It is one of those special predators- and instantly I loved the feel to this cue. It has wood joint, wood buttcap and a large radial pin- Full wood and beautifully constructed - I have a few Predators and this is softest, truest hit - great balance. Not as much feedback as the P3 butt but it has great playability

warning- I ordered 19oz and it came at 18.4-So wherever you order from tell them to check . Get the weight kit it is great esp. if you own a couple. Also if yo udont know

I have the LE 3 as well and I absolutely love the cue. Weight is at 19.6oz. I've also gotten a lot of compliments for the cue. Got mine at a slightly lower price than the discounted price of $584.

The only thing I'm not sure of is whether the leather wrap is genuine or synthetic...Can anyone confirm this?

It is genuine leather that is pressed to the lizard texture. The more you use it, the better it'll feel.

Good to know...I was kinda feeling bad because I thought it was just synthetic. I do have the 314^2 shaft in a 30". Overall, I think I got a sweet deal on this because I paid lower than advertised price and I didn't pay to upgrade to the 30" shaft. I'm thinking of buying a spare shaft for a back up in the future.

I had a chance to put some hours on this cue last weekend and I believe it's one of the best hitting Predators ever produced. If you've been using any of the Uni-loc cues it will take a few hours to adjust to how soft the hit is but you'll be surprised by how much different in this case is actually better.

I was thinking about buying this cue. However, I refuse to ever have a wood to wood joint. The description says UniLoc joint so i'm confused. Are these cues actually a wood to wood joint?

It's a Uni-loc Radial pin but both the pin and shaft are set in phenolic so it's not quite like a 3/8x10 stainless. It's firmer but not heavy in the front... Well balanced and you won't regret buying. I cut all my shafts to 12.5 mm with the same taper to give me a little more feel.

Glad to see the good reviews of this cue here. Been thinking of getting one since it has radial pin and no metal joint. That was the turnoff for me on all there other cues previously, especially the uni-loc joint. Will pick one up this week now for sure. I plan on getting the vantage shaft and 314-3 as well.

@gregnice , you will not regret purchasing this.

I purchased the Roadline LE4 cocobolo and curly maple points as well. I use theOB classic pro with kamue black tip soft. This cue hits amazing, It is one of those special predators- and instantly I loved the feel to this cue. It has wood joint, wood buttcap and a large radial pin- Full wood and beautifully constructed. For me the balance of these cue is very nice. Now its up to you which shaft you will use. I prefer an OB classif for a stiffer hits compare to 314-2 shaft. Ill try 314-3 also on this cue later once my item arrived.
