Hi,

Can anyone tell me what the diameter of the butt is at the end of the butt? Also, what is the balance point measured from the butt end and the weight of the cue with that balance point?

Thanks!

I sent an email to Predator, and this was the response:

Hello,

Thank you for contacting Predator Group.

Cue butt diameters differ with each cue butt, as the tapers are different. They are described on our website as thin, medium, and thick.

The balance points may slightly differ with each individual cue. We are unable to indicate to you, those balance points.

We do offer a 30-Day Return, if there is a product you would like to test.

Please let us know if you have any other questions.

The customer service person had no one to contact at Predator nor at any of their dealers who could provide those specs for a Predator True Splice 16 Limited Edition cue? For a cue that costs north of $1,100, Predator doesn't think a prospective buyer might want to know those things? I wonder who their target buyer is? Apparently, not me!

Seyberts will measure one for you i think. In Preds defense these cues are made in China then shipped here for distribution. I doubt they keep track of these details. 99% of their buyers likely never ask to be honest. Person at Predator may not have been able to just go get one and measure it.

Due to the fact that every cue weighs something a little different, and there are many different weight bolts to change the weight of the cue, the balance point will be different from cue to cue. You would need to specify either where you want the balance point to be and/or the weight you want and find a seller who has that. But in my personal opinion, when you are talking about an ounce here or there and a balance point within a 4-5 inch range, it wouldn't make that much of a difference in playability of a cue.
