Preditor shafts

I just picked up a couple of Preditor shafts (blanks) to send to my cuemaker to fit onto my cue. When I got 'em home I measured and discovered they are 30 inches. Most are 29 inches and I was wondering if there's any advantage or disadvantage to the extra inch, other than personal preference. Being only 5'9" tall I'm not sure I need or want any extra length........... What are your thoughts and opinions??

Thanks

If you find that the extra inch is too "whippy"---which can very well be the case---ask for the shafts to be shortened. The blank is a few inches longer, giving your CM the option to tailer the length.

Is the butt also 30", or is it a standard 29"?

If they are "blanks," then they are longer to accomodate whatever your cuemaker is going to do to fit them. Your cuemaker is probably going to make it 29" if that's what you want in the first place.
