Preglue wipe

I just glued in the points for my next cue and was wondering if it is necessary to wipe until the towel stays white, or if just a couple of wipes is sufficient. I'm using a whole forest worth of paper towels and who knows how much acetone for cocobolo, padauk, and a few others. Am I wasting time and resources needlessly, or is that par for the course?

Padauk glues fine without wiping the surface with any chemical. Cocobolo is pretty oily, so even though you may be doing it overkill, you can't go wrong playing it safe with that one.

Thanks Chris. I wiped and wiped and wiped. I bet I used half a dozen paper towels trying to get it clean before I said...well, never mind that part. Thanks for the guidance.
