What is your preshot routine? Myne, is looking at the shot as if i am the cueball, looking at the contact point on the object ball, and get down over the shot. Take a couple good warm up strokes, while i am doing this i figure out what type of english i want on the cueball, then look at the cueball, and dial in the english i want or need to get position on the next ball. My stance is also important, cause i stand very square to the table, like a snooker player. So when i get down over the shot, i step into it. I don't fire until i feel as if i am comfortable and that i think i am in the correct position of the shot to make it, if it doesnt feel right then i stand up over the shot again then get down, When i do this, the shot always goes in, but of course i don't wanna get over a shot then get back up again all the time. I do my preshot routine over and over again, sometimes i just get down and fire, whine up missing, then kick myself cause i wasn't being consistent. Cole 'TheConArtist'

I think you should make your decisions before you get down on the shot. 99 percent of the time I know where, how hard and what spin to use for position before I get to the table. You’re right though, be consistent on your pre shot routine, find a system that works and stick with it. IMO, the biggest problem in missed shot syndrome or MSS is laziness, laziness in some part of the routine. After I’ve made my decision on where and what to hit the CB with, I step into the shot form behind the CB. Making sure I’m lined up correctly. My eyes dart back and forth from CB to OB a multitude of times to hone in on the “contact point”. Then I take two slow alignment strokes to make sure I’m in the right plane and path. Here is where I get the go or no go feeling. If I get a green light, I take three additional warm up strokes for a feel of how hard to hit it. Then pause with eye focus on OB, slow back swing and fire that puppy in.
