Pro One and Back Shoulder

Bieberlvr, over time, I've tried some similar things. It can work fairly well with some shots but it really goes down the tubes, at least for me, when I can't assume a regular stance (due to table issues, etc.). I've found focusing on placement of the bridge hand V and CCB are more consistent for me.

With that said, if you're finding the right perception line to sweep from, it seems to me that whatever method consistently works for you to get that half tip pivot is a good one.

CTE/Pro One is all about aiming with your eyes, following the visuals. I don't have eyes in my shoulder, in fact, unless there is a mirror, I can't even see either shoulder. Therefore, I can't see how I can somehow make my shoulder part of the aiming process. You say you feel it in line or something like that. If so and it works for you, that's great. I don't have that kind of control, feel or linkage to my shoulder. If you're off on your aim by 1/16 of an inch, that certainly is enough to cause you to miss. Clearly, 1/4" is more than enough to cause you to miss. I'm nowhere close to being in touch with exact alignment of my shoulder to a tolerance of +/- 1/8".

My eyesight is still quite good despite being 57. I am quite confident I can see a perception or aim line and visualize the placement of the V of my bridge hand. I'm fairly confident I can see CCB within the tolerances allowed to still pocket the shot. So for me at least, I want to use the tools I am most confident I can trust.

I'm not arguing this may work for you Bieberlvr or that is could, or couldn't, work for other people. I simply stating I don't see it working for me. CTE/Pro One is working quite well for me at this point, I don't see any reason to discard what is working well in order to incorporate something I don't see being nearly as precise or accurate.

What happens when you need an outside sweep for a direct shot (straight in or very thick shot)? You still do the same thing?

Maybe this is just common sense fundamentally, but it's something I just started doing and works really well.

Note I have only tried this on direct shots to a pocket, so I have no idea how well it would work with banks.

Once you have acquired your visuals, don't worry about what sweep you need to do, but just focus on CCB. Then all you need to do is bend down towards CCB, and about halfway down, you want to make sure your back shoulder is in line with CCB. It took me a few hours of conscious practice, but now it's very natural.

What I have found is that it gets you in perfect alignment, and I also noticed that the sweeps are no different than what is taught. Meaning on a left sweep even though I am aligning my back shoulder to CCB, I still have to rotate my front shoulder slightly to get into position.

Give it a try and let me know what you think.
