Professionally Stabilized Curly Redwood

I was going to cut these into knife handles, but thought you guys might be interested. These are some pieces of Curly (Banded) Redwood. This wood is normally too soft to use (without being stabilized), but has great figuring and curl.... Pics aren't that great but you get the idea.

They are 13.5" long and 1.625" square. I am asking $75 each plus shipping.

Flat Rate should be $12 in CONUS. Paypal preferred. Please PM any questions you may have.

These pieces have been professionally stabilized.

Professionally stabilized means:

WOOD WILL NOT:
•CRACK CHECK OR WARP
•SWELL OR SHRINK
•REQUIRE A LOT OF FINISH

WOOD WILL:
•RESIST WATER & WEATHER
•SAND WITHOUT RAISING GRAIN
•POLISH TO A HIGH LUSTER

Wood can be turned or milled to within a +/- .0005 inch.

Those are gorgeous. I can't afford it right now, but come back. I'll be making more money soon. I've been thinking about stabilized wood for a while but it isn't usually available in the sizes necessary for a cue.

Thanks for the kind words Paul, this price is below what I would normally sell it for when it goes for handles. The only reason I had this stuff is because I sent stock out to be stabilized for my own cues I am having made.

Heres an added bonus for a new cue maker...If anyone is interested. :p

1). You buy both pieces of the curly redwood.

2). I will throw in some stabilized redwood burl that's 1.5" square by 6" + long, so you would have 2 pieces that are 13.5" long and 1 that's 6" long.
(That's enough for a whole wrapless cue right?)

3). You use the material within 90 days and post your work in the gallery. It would be cool to see what you did with it.

Like the curly!

Sorry I won't be getting around soon to making a cue from the curly redwood, Larry, cuz it is really nice stuff, & very pretty. When I do, I'll be sure to post the pics. The burl piece was nice, too, thanks for throwing it in the deal.

stay tuned, but be patient, I'm just hobby-grade at this stuff.
